Problem: Whenever I edit a VMware virtual machine that was provisioned by Foreman and try to add a new interface, everything appears to process successfully. However, no new NIC is added to the VM. Don’t see any errors in production.log
Expected outcome: I would expect the new NIC to be added

This has been a long standing feature request.
As far as I could find, there were two PRs drafted for editing existing interfaces, but none yet for adding new interfaces, though both PRs were closed due to inactivity.
Afaik, the current “best” approach is to add the interface via VMWare, then have it imported to Foreman via Fact upload or simialr.
Ah that’s disappointing to hear. I figured since Foreman is able to fully provision the VM that it can alter the VM’s interfaces after the fact. Given the whole VMware/Broadcom situation, I doubt this will be on the minds of any of the Foreman development team. Thanks for the info.
