Hi,
we set up our Foreman Instance quite fine by now. Are there any does or dont’s to add a puppetdb to this setup? Foreman is installed with installer-defaults, ideally the pupated is installed to the same host as well.
We are on Foreman 1.6.3 at the moment.
Thanks for any hints, links or caveats…
Regards
Jochen
Hi Jochen,
Glad to hear Foreman is working well for you!
Adding PuppetDB is a common use case for exported resources, we have a
plugin to handle some quirks with it and ensure a smooth ride:
Other than installing the plugin, I don't think there's any other
recommendation
Good luck!

Hi Daniel,
thanks for the head-up. I will defenitely install your plugin, once puppet-db is working.
So I just follow the steps described at puppetlabs to install puppetdb to the existing foreman host?
Thanks,
Jochen

Ideally you're managing your Foreman host with Foreman, so import the class
and apply it yes
