@sjansen you need both the updated subscription-manager and Katello. I didn’t realize that 4.2 RC2 wasn’t out yet, so the next 4.2 RC will have the Katello patch. Katello 4.1.4 and 4.0.3 will both get the patch as well. We’re working to release those as soon as possible to fix the ongoing EPEL-related upgrade issues.
And yeah, it’s just a visual issue. No worries about hosts not getting the proper updates.
The patch wasn’t triaged back to 3.18 because it’s related to Pulp 3, and it would be best not to linger on Pulp 3 on Katello 3.18. Pulp 3 on 3.18 is old at this point and the version shipped in Katello 4.1 has so many improvements.
Also, since I mentioned upgrades, just know that at the moment there is an upgrade issue going on: Katello installs for 4.0 and 4.1 are broken due to qpid-proton update in EPEL on EL7 - #45 by ekohl
It’s pretty easy to work around the problem. Essentially EPEL is bringing that qpid-proton package up to a version that is too new.
