BMC always ERF88-9474

Problem:
Set up BMC, associated the subnet with the right proxy for BMC but always getting
ERF88-9474 [Foreman::BMCFeatureException]: There is no proxy with BMC feature set up. Associate a BMC feature with a subnet.

Expected outcome:
Get Power status and power control of remote nodes

Distribution and version:
Rocky Linux 9.5

Other relevant data:

BMC Subnet is IPv6 only, freeipmi is installed and works from cli, network is reachable from proxy, rubyipmi installed, foreman-proxy bmc.yml default provider set to freeipmi

Do you have a Smart Proxy with the BMC feature enabled that is visible? It could be masked due to taxonomies (organization and/or location).

First, if you go to Infrastructure → Smart Proxies does it show up as having the BMC feature enabled? Then when you edit it, is it assigned to the correct organization(s) and location(s)?

Yes, the smart proxies have the BMC feature installed and it’s also showing up.
Smart Proxy and the BMC subnets are currently assigned to all locations and organisations
