Can Smart-Proxy be used by other servers / services?

In my current environment, we are waiting for a third party to achieve
fecal consolidation on setting up a Satellite 6 service for us to use for
provisioning. In the meantime, I would like to move forward with getting
some of the necessary pieces up and running - specifically Smart-Proxy to
Windows DNS and Windows-DHCP.

If I install the appropriate Smart-Proxy on a Windows machine, is it
possible to hit the API with something like some Python-requests scripts ?

Thanks.

That is part of the problem : I am not completely sure I know what I am
doing, and not afraid to admit it.

However, I will take these words of encouragement and see what I can do
with them, but I will probably be back later with more questions.

Thanks for the response.

You can do that, if you know what you are doing. There is https client
authentication and authorization implemented, so all you need is to sign a
cert for your client. We use puppet CA by default.
