using foreman 1.5rc2
when cloning a host using host.example.com as hostname the validation
policy of says:" must not include periods"
i'm serious this was working in former releases.

I'd suggest filing this as a bug, it'd also be useful to know in the
report the value of :unattended in /etc/foreman/settings.yaml.
When cloning, if the host has a domain selected on the network tab, you
could try shortening the name to just the "host" and remove the domain.
