CfgMgmtCamp announced its date for 2025, so all of you can already plan for next year. Even if FOSDEM is not announced yet, the planing for the organizers has started.

I already blocked myself and started to think about a workshop for the fringe event on Wednesday, so see you there!

I got the message my typical Beginner workshop on Wednesday was accepted. As I started last year to shift the focus, this time I will focus on orchestration.
Foreman Beginner Workshop
The workshop will give an introduction to Foreman and an overview over its components. We will install Foreman with Remote Execution using Forklift which requires Vagrant and Virtualbox or Libvirt or on a virtual machine running CentOS Stream 9 prepared by the attendee. We will look into Remote Execution and how it works, using the script provider to run bash commands and Ansible provider to execute playbooks. Furthermore we look into writing our own templates, how to implement recurring jobs and how jobs can be pulled by a host instead of getting push. And last but not least we will look into the Cockpit integration based on Remote Execution providing a Web console and graphical management interface.
