Content Hosts not getting a product

Hi,

I've set up several content hosts and I can't get any of them to get one of
the products. It's listed in the product content and enabled by default,
but there's no entry in the redhat.repo.
I've run subscription-manager refresh, unregistered and re register the
hosts but nothing.
Any hints?
Regards

I forgot to mention that it's katello 2.4.1 on Centos 7 and content hosts
are Centos 7 and Centos 6.
Regards

Juan,

How are you registering your hosts? Are you using activation keys? Can you
check that any subscriptions that are needed for the products are attached
to the system?

Hi Jonh,

I'm registering using activation key and the key has the product
subscriptions and the repos are shown in product content. Anyway, I've
checked in the host and they are shown there.
I had a kind of issue when I subscribed the keys. I marked the product and
added them but though katello said it added all of them, only 2 were shown
in the list. I checked this and everytime I selected more than 2 products,
it shows the total amount were added, but only 2 were listed. I finally
added the products 2 at a time. Maybe this has something to do because the
one that is missing was the last one to get added.

All the hosts says:

No installed products to list

But though this is shown, the redhat.repo has the entries for all the other repos and is working. I do get updates and content from the subscriptions.

I'll give you the same suggestion as the other thread - just manually
enable the subscriptions with subscription-manager on the content host

#subscription-manager list --available
get the pool id of the subscription you need
then

subscription-manager attach --pool <pool-id>

I had a kind of issue when I subscribed the keys. I marked the product
and added them but though katello said it added all of them, only 2 were
shown in the list. I checked this and everytime I selected more than 2
products, it shows the total amount were added, but only 2 were listed. I
finally added the products 2 at a time. Maybe this has something to do

can you paste the output of these two commands (on the content hosts)

subscription-manager list --consumed

and

Hi Jonh,

I’m registering using activation key and the key has the product
subscriptions and the repos are shown in product content. Anyway, I’ve
checked in the host and they are shown there.
I had a kind of issue when I subscribed the keys. I marked the
product and added them but though katello said it added all of them, only 2
were shown in the list. I checked this and everytime I selected more than 2
products, it shows the total amount were added, but only 2 were listed. I
finally added the products 2 at a time. Maybe this has something to do
because the one that is missing was the last one to get added.

I’ll give you the same suggestion as the other thread - just manually
enable the subscriptions with subscription-manager on the content host

#subscription-manager list --available
get the pool id of the subscription you need
then

subscription-manager attach --pool

But though this is shown, the redhat.repo has the entries for all the
other repos and is working. I do get updates and content from the
subscriptions.

How are you registering your hosts? Are you using activation keys?
Can you check that any subscriptions that are needed for the products are

Hi,

I’ve set up several content hosts and I can’t get any of them to

I’ve run subscription-manager refresh, unregistered and re

Any hints?

I’ll give you the same suggestion as the other thread - just manually
enable the subscriptions with subscription-manager on the content host

#subscription-manager list --available
get the pool id of the subscription you need
then

subscription-manager attach --pool

All the hosts says:

No installed products to list

But though this is shown, the redhat.repo has the entries for all
the other repos and is working. I do get updates and content from the
subscriptions.

Juan,

How are you registering your hosts? Are you using activation keys?
Can you check that any subscriptions that are needed for the products are
attached to the system?

Hi,

I’ve set up several content hosts and I can’t get any of them to
get one of the products. It’s listed in the product content and enabled by
default, but there’s no entry in the redhat.repo.
I’ve run subscription-manager refresh, unregistered and re
register the hosts but nothing.
Any hints?

Hello Team,

I’m facing a similar problem as mentioned in this post.

Can someone please help me resolve the issue.

I’m able to successfully register the subscription but the concerned repositories are not listing!

Thanks.

Hi @karthickitslm,
This thread is from 5 years ago. Most likely the issue you are facing is a different one. Please open a new thread describing what you did and what errors you are seeing.
