Hello
Is it possible to do an incremental update after adding a new repo to CV?
I always use hammer for an incremental update, but can only add erratas or packages
Thx

Hi @almorr,
I perceive this question as, “can I still incrementally update a CV if I’ve added a new repo to the CV?”.
I would say yes, you should be able to.
If you come across an issue doing so please send us an error log.
Good luck!
Hi @Dewar
can I still incrementally update a CV if I’ve added a new repo to the CV?”.
Not really. Sorry for my English, i’ll try to explain by a long way with an example.
So, we have for example 3 repos: r1,r2,r3 with a daily synchronization
This repos are a part of ContentView, published and promoted weekly
At the date X we have a the version CVv1 of our CV with a 3 repos
At the day X+1 we add the repos r4 to our CV
Our published version CVv1 still has only 3 repos
If i publish a new version of CV our first 3 repos will be published wtih a packages from the date X+1
But the goal is to do an incremental update to have r1,r2 and r3 content unchanged from the date X and the r4 from the date X+1
Thank you
This is not supported currently. Incremental update cannot add new repositories. It is really meant for minor updates. If you wanted to add an errata/packages to a Content View Version X.0
it will clone X.0
to X.1
and copy the errata or package with their dependencies. Feel free to file an RFE if this is desired.
