Problem:
I am able to use curl POST to add an architecture, but when I use similar curl command to try to set a nested host parameter I get an error. I am running these commands from another server on the same subnet as the foreman (satellite) server.
New to foreman and fairly new to JSON, realize I could have a bad JSON format, but usually I get a different error with that (unexpected token or something like that), and have tried several variations of the JSON that seem correct based on my limited experience.
Also, I am able to manually add this parameter to the host using the web GUI.
Expected outcome:
this curl command should set the host parameter ‘vRA’ with value ‘true’ for the server with host_id 9, as long as it is not already set. I would expect the curl command to give some output like
{“created_at”:, “updated at”:, etc
Foreman and Proxy versions:
This is actually satellite 6.4, using foreman-1.18.0.41, foreman-proxy-1.18.0.1
Foreman and Proxy plugin versions:
I don’t believe any plugins are involved
Other relevant data:
[e.g. logs from Foreman and/or the Proxy, modified templates, commands issued, etc]
