Deploy new host from VMware template

I have a newly set up katello installation and I'm trying to provision a
new host from a vmware template. It deploys the new vm but it seems to
just provision a new host from scratch rather than cloning the template
that I assigned to the computer profile. What am I doing wrong and/or
any advice on where to look to figure out what it's doing? All that I
see in the esx console is it creating a new vm.

Thanks,
Todd

After you select the compute resource for the host, you probably also
need to select the Image to use on the Operating System tab.

You'll also need to assign the image to the operating system before you
get that option, I think.

I checked there but those images look like they're all provisioning
templates, not vmware templates.

On the Infrastructure / Compute Resource page for the vSphere you have
to click the New Image button and associate your images with an
operating system.

Once you do that and go to deploy a new host, you should see an Image
select box. There wouldn't be provisioning templates there, that would
be lower on the page afer clicking the 'Resolve Templates' button.
