Edit Value of Puppet Class Parameters directly from multiple_parameters

Hello everyone,

I was wondering, is there a way to edit/modify puppet class parameter's
values
directly from "multiple_parameters" ???

Or is it just limited to global parameters?

thanks!
Cheers, Cesar

you can edit the class params in the host or hostgroup level, assuming they
have the override flag and that they have host or hostgroup in their lookup
path/order.

Hi Ohad, thanks for your response.

the puppet master, then lets say when you select one of them, a
"submit_multiple" (foreman v 1.1) / "Select Action" (Foreman v 1.2) button
appears. There you can select "multipe_parameters" that you want to edit. I
was wondering if it is possible to directly modify from there "puppet class
level parameters" and not only "hosts or hostgroup level parameters".

Actually what I really want to do, is to first FILTER some hosts according
to the class I want to deploy. Then after clicking on "modifiy multiple
parameters" a list of relevant (I do not want the whole lists of parameters
displayed) class parameters will be only display. Then modify lets say a
version parameter and finally either wait for an automatic catalogue run or
either start a puppet run manually to deploy the changes.

Any idea how to do this??

Thanks, Cesar
