Extremely slow, ie does not finish, puppet class import

Problem:

The importation of classes in the web interface was working, but now is extremely slow, I sometimes get it to finish, but it says no new classes. This is despite creating a new class with a simple manifest init.pp

Expected outcome:

I expect the results to come back in a reasonable time (30-60s) on this modern host with plenty of RAM.

Problem solved, the issue was the DNS was misconfigured and was being set to an incorrect value on restart. It was like 80% of foreman worked, but puppet smart proxy did not want to function correctly?
