Foreman 1.6.0-RC2 now released

Now available for testing is Foreman 1.6.0-RC2, the second release
candidate for 1.6. Some of the highlights in release are:

  • Smart Proxy plugin support
  • API version 2 announced stable
  • external (LDAP/Kerberos) user group support
  • RHEL 7 support (CentOS to follow)

All reported LDAP issues and Debian plugin upgrade issues in RC1 have
been squashed, so we believe it's now stable enough for final release
shortly. Please see the following link for upgrade instructions, which
will be updated if any new important issues are found:

Packages may be found in the 1.6 directories on both deb.foreman.org and
yum.theforeman.org, and tarballs are on downloads.theforeman.org.

We may have found another LDAP bug. We just upgraded to 1.6-RC-2 today to
see if it fixed some API issues we were having, and now LDAP is broken.

I don't see the new LDAP Fluff RPM in the repository.

Resolved by installing:

The updated RPM has been pushed to the 1.6 repo too now. Thanks for
