Foreman 1.9.1 -- cannot update host and hostgroup overrides

I upgraded Foreman 1.9.0 to 1.9.1 this morning, and found that I cannot
update a parameter override from the host or hostgroup screen. It fails
silently and looks like it succeeded, but if you go back into the host or
hostgroup, you will find that no change has been made. I must go to the
class and change the parameter override value from there. Then it works. I
will file a bug report, but this is a fairly serious issue, so I thought
I'd post here as well.

For the record, I've just tried to do this and I can confirm it doesn't
work for Puppet class parameter overrides. Updating host
parameters/overridden global parameters seems to work well.

Kind regards,
Vladimir.

Kudos for the report and quick fix! I just ran into this myself and was
worried I was the only one.

Bug #11807: Cannot update host and hostgroup overrides - Foreman is the bug report.

Thanks for bringing it up Alyssa.

The patch linked to the bug report's been merged, and I've moved the
planned 1.9.2 release forward to a week's time. This should give us
extra time to monitor for regressions and get a few other fixes in.

(Foreman 19 Schedule - Foreman)

Cheers,

That was fast, thanks! I've applied the patch to my test system and
verified it works.
