Foreman 3.1.0-RC1 is now available for testing. Special thanks to everyone who contributed and taken part in making this release ready.
There have been various additions to the primary features introduced in Foreman 3.0,
New hosts details page:
- The new hosts details page is no longer experimental in the 3.1 version, although it is still not the default one. One can change
Settings -> New hosts details UItoYesto make it the default option. In the first release candidate, there are several fixes and enhancements for the new hosts details page. However, if you have any problems or suggestions, please leave a feedback on the Foreman 3.0 new host detail page feedback or comment on this post.
Extract Puppet ENC to a plugin:
- There is addition of rake task
foreman-rake purge:puppetto purge puppet data if Puppet ENC functionality is not required. Installing the foreman_puppet plugin shifts ownership of puppet resources to plugin.
Please help by testing and getting it release-ready, and let us know if you hit any issue when upgrading or installing the release candidate either here or on our issue tracker .
