"Foreman + AI" 2025 meetup

Hello community,

I would like to announce a community meetup, sponsored by Red Hat. “Foreman + AI” is a meetup centered around AI and is intended as an opportunity to discuss how (and if) Foreman, Katello, and friends should adapt to the growing use of AI technology.

The event will take place in Brno, Czech Republic, on November 27th, 2025. It will include presentations, Q&A sessions, and an opportunity to socialize.

  • If you are interested in attending in person, please follow this thread where details for registration will be announced soon.
  • If you are interested in delivering a talk, please send me a private message here in the community forum. Both AI-themed and AI-free topics are welcome, although we might prioritize the AI-themed ones if it comes to making that choice.

Some parts of the event will also be available in hybrid mode or as a recording after the event. However, if you want the full experience, consider attending in person!

EDIT: Use the “Your RSVP” button at the top of the page to register for the event. (Above all, timely registration helps organizers ensure access to the venue for non-Red Hat attendees.)

I’m excited to announce the first contribution to the meetup! If you have not yet had the chance to play with the Foreman MCP server feature that was part of the 3.16 release, this will be your chance:

  • First, Tihomir Hadziev will introduce the Foreman MCP server and share its use cases. If you’re curious to know how the MCP server can summarize what your deployment looks like, how you can use it to generate a visual ASCII overview of your infrastructure, or how to use it to efficiently plan brownfield deployments, make sure you don’t miss Tihomir’s talk.

  • Then, we will hold a round-table discussion on what the next step for the Foreman MCP server should be. A round-table session is a great opportunity for anyone in the community to contribute or ask questions about what the future of the feature should look like, as well as brainstorm other use cases. All to make sure that whatever the Foreman MCP server will turn out to be, it will provide value to the community.

As a sneak peek into what else the “Foreman + AI” meetup will have to offer, we also have speakers preparing talks and demos on subjects such as “AI in open source communities” and “AI-assisted documentation”. I will be updating this thread and the agenda in the original post with more details as they emerge.

Unfortunately the button has no “I would like to attend online” option!

Considering that the event is shaping up to be a combination of talks and on-site round-table discussions and hands-on sessions, we won’t do a full hybrid mode. However, those sessions that are suitable for recording (aka talks) will be recorded and shared after the event.

Then I will happily wait for the recording as I unfortunately can not make it to Brno at the date. Anyway thanks for organizing and providing the recording afterwards!

Actually, we have the same “issue” as @Dirk. It would be great to somehow participate; listen to a recording later on or get a nice protocol / summary.

I’m delighted to announce another session, this time on AI-enhanced documentation. Eliane Pereira, a Senior Technical Writer from the RHEL documentation team, will talk about how documentation styles and directives such as SEO or findability can be automated for efficiency and consistency. She will follow this up with a demo of how she has been using Cursor AI, with the intention of inspiring documentarians to refocus from automatable work to investigating users’ needs and use cases.

The last session for the Foreman + AI meetup will about exploring options for automating the repetitive parts of the (documentation) PR review process, during which we will take a look at using both AI-based and AI-free tools for this purpose. This session will be a regular talk and as such should get recorded.

And with that, the agenda is finalized. Thanks to everyone who either proposed a talk or offered help with organizing the event!
