several times we had requests from the community to add icons for OSes
like Solaris, AIX or Oracle Linux. Due to copyright and trademarks, we
can't do that. Instead, we were using custom made icons.
I had this little plan of making a script that would generate
foreman-sized icons (21x21) for this purpose. Today I asked on the
Fedora list and the script is here:
Check it out, tell me what you think. We can change the look and feel of
the icons if you don't like it, but I like the idea we now have (legally
correct and licensed - GNU GPL) place to get our icons from.

any chance to change the icons to be round? this would be in line with
other os icons and do not conflict with the status letters we currently
have infront of the hostname?
thanks,
Ohad

While sorting out the legal issues, which I think are sortable, could we
ship a helper script that grabs and imports appropriate icons for stuff we
aren't sure about yet?

It was confirmed by the Red Hat Legal that we are not safe to distribute
under "fair use", if I understand that correctly.

Good idea, that's something we should be able to distribute. I think I
will leave that to someone else for now.
