The el8 upgrade fails because the installer can’t talk to the running PostgreSQL, for whatever reason.
I didn’t look further yet.
EL8 fails on PostgreSQL. I think this is because the PostgreSQL 12 module is enabled during the installation of 2.5 but the actual packages aren’t upgraded. Then in the upgrade to 2.6 it is upgraded, but no DB migration happens. It probably works in the upgrade to 2.5 because the service is never restarted so continues running on version 10. Didn’t verify this in depth, but that’s my theory.
