Problem:
Dear Sir, I am new to Foreman. I have installed a Foreman smart proxy to handle OS patching for the testing host that is assigned to that smart proxy. However, there is an error:

Errors during downloading metadata for repository ‘rhel-9-for-x86_64-appstream-rpms’:

  • Status code: 404 for https://uk1-smartproxy.xxxxxx.com /pulp/content/Default_Organization/Library/Dev/content/dist/rhel9/9/x86_64/appstream/os/repodata/repomd.xml (IP: xxxxxxxxx)
    Error: Failed to download metadata for repo ‘rhel-9-for-x86_64-appstream-rpms’: Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried

Would anyone know what the problem is?

What Candlepin version do you have? rpm -qa | grep candlepin

We also experience this error while doing a content sync for the smart proxy in the Foreman GUI:
