FreeBSD not recognised as OS

Hi Guys,

My debian machines register perfectly in foreman. The facts are there and there foreman displays a version number and a debian swoosh image next to the operating system tag in the hosts view.

The two FreeBSD machines I have tried don't work. The facts for the machines work and are correct. the operating system fact is 'FreeBSD' and is present. But the operating system is blank in the hosts view.

This doesn't work on the current stable version or nightly version on the apt repo.

I'm happy to look into the source and try and fix this and provide a patch, I just thought I'd ask here first for advice.

Cheers.

Hey Pavel,

I actually stopped using foreman and went to flat files because of my need
for declaring resources so I haven't gotten around to it.

I have to get back into foreman and take the all the improvements for a
spin soon.

My interest in FreeBSD in foreman was to be able to provision FreeBSD jails
via web gui. In the meantime I actually wrote puppet module to do this, the
drawback is that I have to edit the flat files to provision new jails.

If you are interested in something similar I can let you know when I
release it.

Hi Lard,

I got the same problem. Do you find the solution?
