Help with locking packages versions from sync?

We have set up katello and have sync the Fedora 20 repository successfully.
Is there anyway we can lock the version from auto sync and so that our
workstations have the same packages versions?

Howdy,

You can use the Content View feature of Katello to lock down your content
into a particular configuration. Sync'ing into the Library will pull down
whatever is available in that repository at that time. Content views allow
you to then point to the local copy and blacklist or whitelist packages,
errata, and package groups. You can then choose to publish the content view
at any time creating a locked version of the content you selected.

We are still working on getting our documentation published in a more
reference-able format, but this page should help give you an idea of the
workflow.
