"Host Groups" should be renamed to "Host/Provisioning Templates"

I origianlly sent this to foreman-dev but meant to send to foreman-users, sorry about the double post if you are no both lists.

When Foreman is used with Katello we have the concept of "System Groups" (soon to be "Host Collections" - https://github.com/Katello/katello/pull/4050) and "Host Groups". These two drastically different concepts are named so similarly (especially after the rename to "Host Collections") that they will readily cause confusion.

Moreover, even when Foreman is used without Katello, the term "Host Group" isn't accurate. If you look at the following definitions (both from Google) it becomes apparent that our current "Host Groups" are actually "Host Templates" or "Provisioning Templates".

group (gro͞op/)
noun

  1. a number of people or things that are located close together or are considered or classed together.

tem·plate (ˈtemplət/)
noun

  1. a shaped piece of metal, wood, card, plastic, or other material used as a pattern for processes such as painting, cutting out, shaping, or drilling.
  • COMPUTING: a preset format for a document or file, used so that the format does not have to be recreated each time it is used.

How about we rename Foreman's Host "Groups" to Host/Provisioning Templates since it is a more accurate term? Thoughts?

Cheers,
Walden

I think "Host Groups" already conveys for me that I will have a similar
configuration across hosts in the same group. I'm not a Katello user so I
don't have to deal with the confusion between Host collections and Host
groups (I do agree they sound similar).

I am not completely against changing the name to something more accurate,
but 'provisioning templates' in particular is a term already used in
Foreman and config management in general to refer to kickstart scripts and
the like. I like the term "Host provisioning groups" or "Host config
groups" but there are already 'config groups' and 'provisioning templates'
in Foreman and that'd confuse users.
