Katello 3.13/Foreman 1.23 : virt-who si not working

Problem:
I upgraded katello/foreman from 3.12/1.22.2 to 3.13/1.23 and when I surf to Infrastructure - > Virt-who configuration I’ve the error:
No route matches {:action=>“welcome”, :controller=>“foreman_virt_who_configure/configs”}

Expected outcome:

Surf to the virt-who configuration page.

Maybe @Marek_Hulan can confirm

Not sure if it will play nice with the older version, but you could try installing the latest virt-who plugin from the nightly repos

Hello everyone, I have same error after creating and deploying virt-who config. ->

I tried to apply Fix from github created by Marek_Hulan, but I am noob in git or ruby, so I am lost, how to install it. I tried to add routes.rb into katello seeds.d, but no success yet.

@lubidl0 Best you can do is to upgrade to the newest version available. Katello 3.14 and Foreman 1.24 should be released withing few weeks. If you can’t upgrade, you can try getting the virt-who-configure plugin from tfm-rubygem-foreman_virt_who_configure-0.5.0-1.fm1_25.el7.noarch.rpm but that it may not install cleanly on older version. Backporting this commit thou is extremely simple. Assuming you’re on CentOS/RHEL, you just edit this file

/opt/theforeman/tfm/root/usr/share/gems/gems/foreman_virt_who_configure-*/config/routes.rb

and add

get 'configs/help', :action => :welcome, :controller => 'configs'

as a line 3, under the line namespace :foreman_virt_who_configure do

Then don’t forget to restart your Foreman server, service httpd restart
