Katello 4.21.0 is now available

Hello Foreman and Katello community!

Katello 4.21.0 has been released for general availability!

This release brings a modernized Content Credentials page (rewritten in React with Patternfly 5), Alternate Content Sources for Deb repositories, expanded foreman-maintain reports with Katello-specific data, container image tagging restored in Hammer CLI, and performance improvements to host registration and database queries at scale.

For full details, see the Katello 4.21 Release Notes and the CHANGELOG on GitHub.

Before you upgrade

  • Pulp 3.105 is required. If you interact directly with Pulp APIs, consult the Pulp 3.105 changelog for breaking changes.
  • Python content on Smart Proxies requires a complete sync after upgrading due to changes in Python distributions.
  • Host groups now use a single content view environment instead of separate content view and lifecycle environment fields. Ensure your host groups assign both fields or neither before upgrading.
