Katello and qpid version

Hello,

Is there a reason why the rubygem qpid rpm is kept at version 0.30 and not
upgraded to 0.34?

We have problems trying to reconcile the pulp server (which is installed
from the official pulp repo, that has qpid 0.34) and katello, which needs a
qpid server at 0.30.

Thank you,
Cristian Falcas

I noticed that if I allowed the qpid-dispatch-router 0.5 to be installed
from EPEL, it would install qpid-proton/pulp etc at 0.34.

Unfortunately, these break capsules as they cannot transfer data.

qpid-pulp has to be 0.30 and qpid-dispatch-router have to be 0.4 and they
have to come from the pulp repos in order for capsules to work.

For a while, there weren't reliable upstream qpid repositories to rely on
and so we would update and carry the qpid packages ourselves. We have been
made aware of upstream repositories that are keeping up to date versions
more reliably now and there is a story to investigate switching to relying
on that.

This will be prioritized at some point (please vote on the issue to help us
gauage user interest), but currently other concerns are filling the main
developer teams capacity.
