[KATELLO] Multiple question: update / dashboard /

Hi i'm trying katello, and slowly i got some progress. My goal is to have
one console in order to manage all my servers (mainly centos 6.x/7.x and
some Redhat).

Here are my questions :

  1. About update, how can i get information about updates needed by my
    "content host" managed by katello.
I like something like for errata : number of update needed list of them,…

  2. How to know on the web ui if an update/errata need a reboot of server?
There is something to list all server needed reboot?

  3. Is it possible to cutomize the dashboard to get info about how many host
    need update, and errata?

  4. When i install/remove/update a package or push an errata most of time i
need to restart goferd on my node in order it do the action i asked from
    the web UI.

  5. Last question for now, is it recommended to use puppet etc… or can i
just use the katello module inside foreman.

Thank you for help.

The dashboard should indicate errata information related to content hosts.

There isn't currently – if you can formulate what you'd like to see in a
feature like that and open an issue we can then take a look –
http://projects.theforeman.org/projects/katello/issues/new

Does the task hang when you do this prior to restarting goferd? The next
version of Katello will feature integration with remote execution that will
allow doing some actions via SSH.

I am not sure I follow exactly what you are asking here. Is this with
respect to installation?

Ok so if i undestand, the "latest errata" panel show only applicable
errata for "content hosts".

If i launch task on web UI like install package, task wait in pending state
and nothing happen in client, but if i restart goferd task is "unfreezed"
and some log appears in /var/log/message ("content.install" /
"content.update" /…). I've only 2 node in my test platform but this is
something worrying.

In fact for now i just need a patch management solution, but i don't
understand if i need to do something in the puppet part.
