[katello] Patching enhancements suggestions

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but something similar to the
way Spacewalk handled scheduling would be useful for patch management in
katello. I'm currently using a puppet module to create yum cron jobs, but
it would be nice to be able to schedule patching right within katello.
Maybe there's already a way to do this that I'm not aware of?

Further, it would be nice to have the ability to see the distribution of
errata types when viewing content hosts. The area near the subscription
status light could perhaps fit a few more icons to tell what kind of
updates/errata are available.

Thanks.

There is not currently a way to schedule a remote action, but this has
been discussed and mentioned in the past. We plan to tackle this in
the near future.

There are a number of stories being tackled for the 2.1 release of
Katello centered around errata management. If you are curious of the
particular stories see -
Errata Management - Katello - Foreman and
drill down into each category to see the changes being made.
