We have a few hosts where running any yum command gets stuck in “Uploading Tracer Profile” for more than 10 minutes (sometimes even 20 minutes). In the end everything goes to “Complete!”
How could i troubleshoot this long waiting time? I looked at the /proc/$yum_pid/fd and it seems the tracer plugin goes through all the pids on ths system and it looks at /proc/123/stat and /proc/123/cmdline, but I’m not sure if this is the issue. The host i ran this on has 500 processes running.
