[Katello]

Hello,

Not sure if this is the correct list to be addressing this question to but I have a situation evolving where I wish to use Katello to manages software deployments on RHEL systems via pulp but not all of the RHEL licenses are provided by our company. We have a hybrid environment where in certain locations we bought the license from Redhat and in others where the License was part of a managed hosting environment. So for all intents and purposes the ‘rented’ licenses are attached to the providers Satellite systems. If I mix the two can I actually manage the ‘rented’ licensed systems with Katello or am I asking for trouble?

It would be very difficult to convince the business that we need to own all of the licenses directly. Were I to use CentOS as the Katello host would this mitigate the integration between Candlepin and Pulp?

If this question is misdirected please point me in the right direction

Thanks

Katello can import subscriptions from multiple accounts (one per
katello organization), but for managed hosting providers, they're
managing everything related to the subscription, including content.
It's a different model.

I would suggest to go through Red Hat channels like your sales rep to
see how they can support you in doing that.
