Is the login access to the smart proxy via a browser (https://<smart_proxy>:8443) still broken as reported in earlier topic…

Unable to login to foreman GUI using smart proxy link after upgrading to 3.8.0 version

Hi Team, Unable to login to Foreman GUI link after upgrading to 3.8.0 version. Getting this error “CSRF protection token expired, please log in again” everytime when tried to login using smart proxy link. In earlier versions , it was working fine. After recent upgrade to 3.8.0 , this issue popped up. Login to GUI using Foreman Server link is working fine. Can anyone help on this. Regards, Jeev

It is still evident in later releases than 3.8.0 and the previous link had a number of workarounds that were reported as not working.

Any updated information, fix or workaround would be much appreciated.

Hi, there is no UI for Smart Proxy, only for Foreman.

There is but the login fails with “CSRF protection token expired”, this works OK prior to 3.8.0.

3.8.0.

This is ancient version Foreman, long time unsupported. Current version is 3.16.

You need to go to https://<smart_proxy>, without the 8443

I think the current behavior is correct, as per comment in previous post

upgrading to 3.12 which is the latest version available in RHEL8.10, prior to going up to RHEL 9.
