Missing DHCP-Range fields when creating a provisioning subnet

Hi everyone,

I am recreating my setup to get rid of the strange "invalid interfaces
error". During setup I am hitting the error, that while creating the
provisioning setup and creating a Subnet, the DHCP-range cannot be set.
Setting the subnet to a temporary name and then later re-setup the
provisioning (and deleting the first subnet) seems to work.

Is this a known issue?

Foreman version is 1.14.2

Thanks in advance.

I think I don't follow. Can you show step-by-step what do you, perhaps
with a screenshot or two?

Install foreman via installer
Open the GUI
Select Infrastructure -> Provisioning setup
Select the network interface and click submit
You see the settings in my screenshot_1.png, which are missing the
fields for the DHCP range.

You add the subnet and run the installer. Later on you redo the
provisioning, setup the subnet with a different name, and this time the
DHCP-range fields are shown.

I hope I could clarify the issue, please feel free to ask further details.

Note you can only setup one subnet via the installer. Second run will
overwrite the initial one, you need to add all the others manually.

I do not want multiple subnets. I only want to setup one subnet.
But in the provisioning, there are no fields to enter the dhcp range.

So to get that one has to do what I mentioned.

AFAIK just modifying the subnet after creation, adding the range and not
running the installer again with the
'–foreman-proxy-dhcp-range="192.168.125.21 192.168.125.200"' option
does not result in a working installation.

That's weird, I do see Start and End of the IP Range on DEVELOP
branch. It's likely a UI bug, please file an issue.

Try to fix it via CLI which should work.
