Moving from Rocky Linux to Ubuntu

Problem: I need to migrate a Foreman server, no additional proxies, from a Rocky Linux to an Ubuntu server. I’ve been looking into backups and recovery but it says that that OS and major version needs to be the same. There is also a satellite-clone but I’m not sure that’ll work for Ubuntu. Is there another way to transfer config from one to the other?

Expected outcome: Foreman running on Ubuntu with the same configuration as the old server

Foreman and Proxy versions: 3.7.0

Foreman and Proxy plugin versions:

Distribution and version: Rocky Linux 8.8

Other relevant data:

Are you running Katello or just Foreman? If Katello, this setup won’t run
on Ubuntu.

Currently we do have Katello active in our installation. This is used for package / repository management, right?
It’s good to know that this is not supported on Ubuntu. The decision for Ubuntu has been made before my time so this gives me some ammunition to keep the Rocky Linux in place.
