Multiple NIC PXE boot

Hi!

I have this setup where I'm installing machines with two nics connected to
an LACP interface. The final result is that I never know which of the two
mac addresses will be the one sending the dhcp request.

Currently, when I create the server in foreman I try the first mac address
and if it fails I change to the second.

Is there a way to activate pxe for two different mac addresses that belong
to the same host?

Thank you.

Xavier

Hi Xavier,

Did you already try adding the parameter ksdevice=eth0 in your "PXE"
configuration?

I'm using ksdevice=bootif in my configuration.

Hi,

Thank you for your emai.

The problem is that I don't even get an ip address from dhcp so I don't
think that the boot parameters are going to have an influence on that.

It seems that the request is sent via one of the interfaces and the answer
gets sent to the other one, since at pxe boot the server is not aware of
the lacp configuration of the ports it is connected to, it never gets the
answer from the server.

I realize this is more of a switch configuration question than a Foreman
one but if anyone has solved the problem it'd great to hear how.
