The Candlepin task is designed to appear to run forever since it is reading
messages off a message bus and updating data. The metadata generate being
stuck at 50% usually indicates that the server is not reaching the Capsule
so it continues to poll it. Sounds like you mention having had a network
error – can you verify that your server can resolve and reach your
Capsule?
