Instead of defaulting to “Support”, which causes them to have no category.
Seems to only apply to the top-level categories page? If I’m in a category, New Topic defaults to that category.
Still, worth fixing, so thanks for the report. I don’t see anything in the settings for this, but I’ll have a dig around in other configs.
According to upstream I’m not sure if this exists as a setting, sadly. I’ve disabled the “allow uncategorized posts” setting and now the default for that page seems to force you to pick a category, which I think is at least slightly better?
