After upgrading to Katello 3.16.0 we are getting an alert for filesystem utilization on /var/opt/rh taking up a lot of space. The problem, it is installed in a “/” partition where their is little room. The question: can this be moved or does it need to be kept there for any reason?
By default PostgreSQL from Red Hat SCL uses /var/opt/rh
. We just follow that because it also has all the correct SELinux labels etc. After this, /var/lib/postgresql
shouldn’t really be used anymore (I don’t think we remove it). I would recommend using a separate partition if /
is too small.
