Problem with Centos repo missing repomd.xml.asc

Problem: repomd.xml.asc is either not synced or generated in centos repo.
Problem started within the last week. No “apparent” changes have been made.
Not sure if this is a syncronized file or a generated file and not sure where to look to debug the issue. I suspect it is generated as I have not seen any attempt to sync in our log files.

Expected outcome: repomd.xml.asc should be created for yum gpgcheck to work
