Provisioning opensuse microos

I would like to provision an image-based opensuse microos with foreman/katello and have some trouble/question.
Starting with creating the OS where version is a mandatory field followed by a missing finish template being also mandatory.
Has anyone expericences with this?

Hello,

Foreman does not support MicroOS out of box, you have to be more specific about what exactly does not work and how are you configuring the OS.

Generally, image-based provisioning can be setup via user-data (cloud-init, combustion) or ssh finish script. When creating the OS, you have to enter some version, if MicroOS does not have one use a dummy number. Also, you need to associate a user data and a finish template which you do it first in Templates Association tab, then you return to the OS and select them there.

Then you will have to customize the one you plan to use. It will take some experimentation, make sure to share the working setup with us.
