Hi,
So, as some of you guys know, I'm going to give a talk at puppetconf
(and we'll have a meetup and just have fun).
what I'm looking for, is what you guys want to hear me talk about
so, before i start working on a new set of slides, I want to ask you
guys, what do you want to hear?
and even if you are not going to puppetconf, I would be happy to hear
your opinion regardless…
Ohad
How long is your talk slot? I thought your talk in NYC was great…
perhaps an updated version of that? (You gave that talk prior to 1.0
shipping)

I'm not sure about the duration, I'm thinking of 40-50 minutes.

In talking to people in different areas, I have found several who used an
old version of foreman and were very unimpressed with it, so this could be
a good opportunity to kinda reverse that view and let people know just how
much better it is now.

I would be sure to cover the smart proxy and how it allows foreman to work with multi data center environments easily. Example, remote Tftp and dhcp servers. Concentrate on foreman being a orchestration tool for provisioning, and sever life cycle management. Show how the cli can be used to create dynamic host lists that can be later feed into ssh for loops.
Additionally, create a google presentation and share with the top users of foreman to get more input and help create some slides.

+1 on developing how foreman grew from a swiss knife to a full blown
datacenter tool.
It can definitly be the one stop shop with dhcp, tftp, dns smart proxy
and kickstart/preseed/what have you and now compute.

One "topical" question which would be cool to give a strong answer to is "how does foreman compare to razor?" i.e. why foreman still kicks razor squarely in the butt

Hi,
So, as some of you guys know, I’m going to give a talk at
puppetconf
(and
we’ll have a meetup and just have fun).
what I’m looking for, is what you guys want to hear me talk about

so, before i start working on a new set of slides, I want to ask
you
guys,
what do you want to hear?
and even if you are not going to puppetconf, I would be happy to
hear
your
opinion regardless…
Ohad
