PXE Booting ProxMox Hosts?

Problem:

Has anyone tried to use foreman to pxe boot Proxmox hosts? There is some info out there on pxe booting proxmox ve I am curious if anyone has been successful in using foreman to accomplish this?

I had a look into this, ended up landing on PXE booting and provisioning Debian (12 or 13 depending on what version of Proxmox you’re installing), and then installing Proxmox VE after the fact with Ansible. Debian provisioning in Foreman was quite a bit easier when I looked at this.

There is a supported installation method of PVE onto Debian, it does assume you set up the Debian base OS in a supported way, handling storage and networking yourself. The wiki page hasn’t been updated for PVE 9.x but this is what I followed when creating my PVE installation Ansible playbook, however YMMV.
