Query regarding client server packages report

Hi support team,

i have upgraded one of the linux client server from RHEL 7.1 to 7.9 using katello. it is possible to download as a excel report of upgraded packages in client using Web GUI. If it is possible please provide us the steps to get the same.

You can try to follow Generating a List of Installed Packages in Managing Hosts.

Hi maximilian,

  1. In the Foreman web UI, navigate to Monitor > Reports > Report Templates.
  2. To the right of Host - All Installed Packages, click Generate.
  3. Optional: Use the Hosts filter search field to search for and apply specific host filters.
  4. Click Generate.
  5. If the download does not start automatically, click Download.

In the above steps, i didn’t find the 2nd step in the registered templates, i could see that some of the templates available.

Please help on the same.

I have tested this procedure on Foreman 3.8. Either you’re missing the job template, you’re in the wrong organization/location context or the template is; or you don’t have enough permissions to view/run this report template.
