Question about module stream

Problem:
After update Foreman 3.6.1 + Katello 4.8

I lost tab “Module Stream” on Content tab.

This seems to be a bug in the monitoring plugin, should be fixed by Migration error 'column settings.category does not exist' · theforeman/foreman_monitoring@f7aca84 · GitHub, but no release of that plugin has been done since that PR was merged.

This probably has nothing do with your initial problem, but that might have been caused by a missing restart of the foreman service after the upgrade.

Yes, after remove rubygem-foreman_monitoring-3.0.0-1.fm3_5.el8.noarch foreman working. But still problem with module stream.

From what version of Foreman/Katello did you upgrade?
The only change I could find which caused that was this: Fixes #34973 - New host details: Hide module streams tab for EL7 hosts by lfu · Pull Request #10234 · Katello/katello · GitHub, this was introduced in Katello 4.7 so if you came from an older version, maybe this is the cause. From what I see, it looks to me this only works for RHEL and CentOS and only if the operatingsystem name matches the code’s expectations. So I would assume if you have Rocky/Alma/OEL/whatever-else-rhel-rebuild hosts or your OSes are not called “CentOS 8.X” or similar, this is maybe broken by design.

I assume the potential impacts on other RHEL rebuilds than CentOS was missed in the initial PR for this.
This should probably be fixed, and maybe also changed to rely on OS family rather than OS name?
