Question on translation of model names

I have a question on the comments on [1]. I recall us telling our
translators to translate to keep the full string before the pipe, so

msgid "DiscoveryRule|Name"
msgstr "DiscoveryRule|Nom"

However, [2] and claer suggestion that the appropriate translation
should be just "Nom". Is the doc at [2] accurate?

TIA.

Yeah, incorrect.

Correct. Translate "Name" with the context of "DiscoveryRule".
