According to Foreman 3.13 Schedule and Planning this week is preparation week and next week is stabilization week. @ColeHiggins2 will post the branching procedure. Starting next week we’ll also meet twice a week until 3.13 is GA: Mondays and Wednesdays.
Some notable changes that are ongoing with regards to distribution support:
EL8 is being dropped (in progress)
Ubuntu 20.04 has been dropped (merged earlier today)
Debian 12: now that puppetserver is available, this is supported. Packages have been built since 3.11, but now we’ll also run pipelines to verify it.
With Debian 12 available, 3.13 will deprecate Debian 11 so it can be dropped with Foreman 3.14.
Foreman 3.12
Like with 3.13, we’ll also support Debian 12. For now we haven’t backported the instructions.
Foreman 3.11
Foreman 3.11.4 in progress: Foreman 3.11.4 Release Process has all details, but right now everything is tagged and release for @pcreech to do the release engineer dance.
@ColeHiggins2 doesn’t have a Jenkins account to trigger the release tarballs step. @ekohl will help with this.
Like 3.13 & 3.12: Debian 12 is now supported and we’ll announce this with 3.11.4.
@iballou is working on upgrading from Pulp 3.49 to Pulp 3.63. He has ran it locally for a while and we don’t expect to destabilize too much before stabilization week starts next week.
Katello 4.14
@cintrix84 is thinking about creating another z-stream, but nothing has been decided yet
Katello 4.13
No release expected given where 4.15 is right now.
