SSH Client in Foreman OCI images?

Problem: The foreman 5.0 OCI images do not include the OpenSSH client. This means that SSH connections to libvirt hosts fail.

Expected outcome: Compute Resources identified as qemu+ssh URLs can connect successfully

Foreman and Proxy versions: 5.0

Foreman and Proxy plugin versions: 5.0

Distribution and version: OCI Images - Image ID 436ff79860d2 in particular

Other relevant data:

The foreman-proxy image does currently include the openssh-clients RPM package.

The images for 5.1 (currently nightly) should contain openssh-clients via Add openssh-clients dependency to foreman · theforeman/foreman-packaging@214d3c0 · GitHub

We currently don’t (officially) support any compute resources in 5.0, mostly due to time constraints for testing, so I don’t think we’ll be backporting any changes in that regard. But if you build an container based on our images and include the missing package, I guess it will “just work”?
