Storing qcow2 cloud image

Problem:
I have one requirement to store qcow2 cloud image in Satellite server (Katello). The repo type will be file type and will sync/upload the image. Each image size will be 2GB. Could you please confirm that storing qcow2 image is a good practice?

For checking supportability on Satellite I suggest contacting Red Hat Support. Perhaps @katello team could comment regarding the feasibility of managing such large files with Katello upstream currently.
