Unable see installable updates for content hosts on foreman dashboard, showing as zero for all categories

Problem:
unable see installable updates for content hosts on foreman dashboard, showing as zero for all categories
Expected outcome:
shouble show available patches to update
Foreman and Proxy versions:
foreman version 1.18.1 , katello agent version 3.0.1
Foreman and Proxy plugin versions:

Other relevant data:
[e.g. logs from Foreman and/or the Proxy, modified templates, commands issued, etc]

Did you apply the erratas to your content views or publish a new content view version including the updates/errata?

rgds,
Arsène

After register the hosts with foreman , not even single package showing as available to apply, how can we refresh to check updates from repos

Verify your repos are enabled on the host:subscription-manager repos –
list-enabled
Also verify gofer daemon is running on the host:systemctl status
goferd.service

Arsene,

I have verified enabled repos on foreman server , you can see attached screenshot reference
But goferd.service is not found on server to check status.

Thank you for your help

Sorry when I wrote host i did mean the client not the TFM Server.Could
you check this on the client side?

Please find attached screen shot from client end.

Client OS Redhat version 6.10

It looks like your repositories are registered and enabled, that’s ok so far.
Goferd will be needed when doing package update using Katello. Goferd connects regularly the Katello server to check for new tasks.
When running “yum check-update” on the client do you see somethings like:
“Uploading Enabled Repositories Report”
If you don’t see this it looks like your client isn’t correctly registered on Katello server.

Hi Arsene,

Sorry for late response .

We could see “Uploading Enabled Repositories Report” after running “yum check-update” on the client.

Please refer attached screen shots.

Thanks,

Hi Arsene,

can you please respond .

Hi,

Are your product/repositories synced on katello server?
On UI Content --> Errata do you see any applicable erratas? If yes you should either apply those erratas to your client or publish a new content view version and promote them to the Environment your client belongs to.

Hope this helps.
rgds, Arsène
