Unable to access provisioning template after creating host using REST API

Hi all,

I’m having an issue with Foreman REST API.

When i create a host using foreman rest api, host is created successfully but the kickstart template url (http://:/unattended/provision?token=6e655f2a-cded-43fe-b83c-eafea68e6aac) is not valid. Foreman throws error “We’re sorry, but something went wrong.”.

When i go to Foreman UI, click Edit host and save it, URL magically starts working. Foreman version is 1.9.3. Can someone help me regarding this?

Can you tail /var/log/foreman/production.log while getting the template? That should provide more detail on what’s gone wrong.

It’s worth also mentioning that Foreman 1.9 is no longer supported, although we’ll help if we can. You should definitely schedule some time to upgrade Foreman in the near future though :slight_smile:
