Upgrading from 1.6 to 1.6.2 clobbers conf files with recommended 'foreman-install'?

I initially performed a 'foreman-install' of foreman, so the upgrade
instructions state it is recommended to re-run foreman-install after
upgrading. However, all of my /etc/foreman-proxy/settings.d conf files get
clobbered, as well as a modification to /etc/http/conf.d/05-foreman.conf.
What is the recommended way to avoid this clobbering? Backup and re-edit?
Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Either don't run foreman-installer, or find the arguments to it that
make the changes you want. Not everything's parameterised, but many
things are.

I'm unsure about the upgrade advice, maybe we could put some additional
wording around it?

I agree that there could be a documentation improvement made here. I just followed the docs to make the same upgrade, and when I got to this section:

Optional Step 3 © - Run foreman-installer

As a new Foreman use, I really had to scratch my head. Luckily for me, I decided not to do it - as everything seemed to be working without that step.

Best,
Martín
